Sobre este juego, salieron una serie de video llamados "History Behind Super Smash Bros Melee" (o la historia detras de Super Smash Bros Melee) en la cual explican de que juegos tomaron la inspiración para realizar cada uno de los escenarios, asi como los movimientos de cada personaje y otras características.

Es imprescindible que cualquier fan de esta saga de lucha entre los personajes de Nintendo haya visto o vea estos videos.

Se daran cuenta de porque incluyen esos personajes, el porque de sus movimientos y otra curiosidades que muchos no han visto por el afan de estar buscando acabar con los stocks de los enemigos.
